Where Our Rubber Comes From
Supply chain transparency is no longer optional. Today’s retailers, distributors, and brands need confidence in where their materials originate and how they are produced.
At Ceylon Natural Rubber, we offer complete visibility from plantation to finished product. Our natural rubber is sourced directly through our plantation partner in Sri Lanka, giving us exceptional control over quality, consistency, traceability, and sustainability.
This close partnership allows us to understand every stage of the journey — from tapping the trees to manufacturing the final product — helping our customers meet growing expectations for responsible sourcing and supply chain transparency.
Direct-Source Natural Rubber,
Sri Lanka
Our natural rubber is sourced through Kelani Valley Plantations (KVPL), one of Sri Lanka’s leading plantation companies and a recognized leader in sustainable rubber production.
KVPL’s rubber estates have earned internationally recognized certifications including Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) certification, Organic Rubber certification (EU and USDA/NOP), Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS) certification, Fair Rubber certification, and Sustainability Framework certification from Preferred by Nature. These certifications reflect a commitment to responsible land management, environmental stewardship, worker welfare, and full supply chain traceability.
Through our close partnership with KVPL, we are able to source premium natural rubber with exceptional transparency and consistency. This direct connection to the source allows us to maintain visibility from plantation to finished product while providing customers with confidence in the sustainability and integrity of their supply chain.
Natural Rubber vs. Synthetic & Silicone

- Safe for children & pets
- Hypoallergenic properties

Synthetic Rubber
- Petroleum-based (non-renewable)
- High carbon footprint
- Non-biodegradable
- Chemical additives required
- Variable quality
- May contain BPA, PVC, phthalates
- Allergenic potential

Silicone
- Synthetic silicon-based polymer
- Energy-intensive production
- Non-biodegradable
- Chemical cross-linking required
- Limited sustainability credentials
- Durable & flexible
- Not plantation-grown
Why Choose Natural Rubber?
01
Renewable by Nature
Harvested from rubber trees that can be sustainably tapped for up to 30 years, natural rubber is a renewable resource that supports long-term environmental stewardship.
02
Naturally Lower Carbon Impact
Rubber trees absorb and store carbon throughout their lifetime, helping to reduce the overall environmental footprint of natural rubber products.
03
Biodegradable
Unlike most synthetic rubbers, natural rubber breaks down naturally at the end of its life cycle, reducing long-term landfill waste.
04
Free from Petroleum-Based Materials
Our products are made without petroleum-derived plastics and contain no BPA, PVC, or synthetic rubber additives.
05
Safe, Durable, and Flexible
Natural rubber offers exceptional elasticity, resilience, and durability, making it ideal for products that are designed to be used and enjoyed for years.
06
A More Responsible Alternative
Choosing natural rubber supports renewable agriculture and a more transparent, sustainable supply chain compared to many synthetic alternatives.
